Systematic list of German dragonfly fauna

Up to present 81 dragonfly species have been recorded in Germany. The following list shows the actual valid scientific and German names. The list shows the genera and species names in alphabetical order according to their sub-families. There is no binding rule for the German common names. Wendler's proposal has been used. Scientific names are according to the "International Code of Zoological Nomenclature" (ICZN 1999). Jödicke's systematic list of German fauna based on this code (ICZN) has had some scientifically based nomenclature changes.
